Description
The Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma is a long-range, heavy-lift helicopter designed for offshore transport, search and rescue (SAR), and military missions. It is powered by two Turbomeca Makila 2A1 turboshaft engines, each producing 1,776 kW (2,382 shp). The helicopter achieves a cruise speed of 150 knots (278 km/h) and a range of 450 nautical miles (833 km) with standard fuel tanks.
The EC225 has a maximum takeoff weight of 11,200 kg (24,692 lbs) and can carry up to 24 passengers in addition to two pilots. Its five-blade main rotor enhances stability and reduces vibration, ensuring passenger comfort. The helicopter features advanced avionics, including a four-axis autopilot, and boasts a service ceiling of 19,600 feet (5,975 meters), making it well-suited for demanding environments and operations.
